In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Chairman called an extraordinary meeting of the Parish Council at 4.00 pm on Monday 23 March 2020. The Council unanimously approved and adopted the following resolution: “Under the Local Government Act 1972 S101, the council empowers the clerk to do anything expedient and necessary to ensure the continuous business of the council, and to deal with mandatory undertakings in order to prevent the authority from incurring liability during the period that the delegation from 23 March until 1 June 2020.” This resolution will appear in Parish Council minutes. During this time the Council business will continue and any concerns should be raised by contacting the Clerk. In particular, decisions concerning planning applications will be made within the usual timeframe. The Council is waiting for government guidance on the Annual Parish meeting and the Council AGM. It is very likely that these meetings will be postponed.
